Bernard Kee joined STR in 2016 as the regional lead for the company’s business in Southeast Asia. He works closely with employees from all across the globe and has valuable cross-cultural people management skills. A firm believer in utilising data insights to formulate business strategies and make better planning decisions, Bernard provides industry partners with informed regional perspectives. His expertise in data analytics allows him to identify the story behind the figures. He spent his earlier career with the finance sector and subsequently crossed over to the hospitality trade, drawing on a wealth of knowledge and experience in both industries.
A proud father of four, Bernard loves travelling to exotic destinations and recreating delicious local delicacies in his own kitchen. His other passion is running, which allows him to burn off the excess calories from those homemade gourmet dishes. In 2004, he founded the Bintan Triathlon, a now established destination event that still draws international media coverage to this day.
